I know the feeling.
There are a lot of changes going on at my place of employment; they have nothing to do with me but it's still driving me nuts. I'd love nothing more than to scream, but I know it's pointless.
Sometimes you just can't help getting pissed off, especially when you know the new system is going to fail and fail miserably.
Agi: Damn right. I may use my blog as an analyst's couch for the next few weeks.
Weasel: Ah, but the secret is not to care. THEY want us to care. THEY want us to participate in their ridiculous schemes and charades. Success can be measured by just how deliberately alienated you are from the system.
Have you tried reading any H. L. Mencken? I have my well-worn copy of his "Chrestomathy" right here on the table. I find its contents to be strangely therapeutic. Picture an idealist with the charisma of a peacemaker, and you have pictured everything Mencken was not.
