Gravatar Do what you gotta do

A break might help give some perspective - blogging, after all, is a fairly strange phenomenon.

And with this political cycle getting out of hand, some breathing room might be refreshing.

who knows - in the end you might conclude there's just too much culture in need of haunting

Either way, as long as you keep posting, I'll keep reading

Gravatar Disengaging has helped me a bit. I'm going to try to stick to posting only if I have something to say.

Gravatar I'd suggest a template redesign. Imagine you are remodeling your studio/workspace - sometimes this helps the creative process. I envision something wider and more minimalist for your canvas.

Gravatar I don't accept your acceptance of responsibility.

I, too, have gone through many periods of blog loathing.

These days, the periods are more numerous and closer together.

Gravatar I started up a music-oriented blog and made that one my new primary site, leaving the old, politically-based one intact (I can't delete a blog that features hundreds of guest posts -- those aren't mine to delete), but fading a little deeper into obscurity with each new day. So far, the music blog is little more than an excuse to put up a mess of YouTube clips. It took me several months to really get the old blog moving, too, so I'm not concerned over the sluggishness I'm experiencing with the new one. Maybe you could try doing something like that, perhaps with an art-oriented blog.

Just a thought...

Gravatar If the spooky clown was gone, it would be okay with me. I've never liked clowns and especially ones that look like that.

Gravatar I second that. I appear to have an irrational fear of clowns and mimes...

Gravatar Art, Art, do Art!

Gravatar Turn and face the strain...

Gravatar Going on hiatus for a bit may help. Taking a break every now and again does prevent burnout.

Or you could blog in Klingon. I'd find that interesting.

Gravatar I had a boss one time who said the only valid excuse he would accept for being late was if you were having sex, seriously.
I called him up one morning and told him I was going to be late.
I would urge you to be late when you consider changing your blog, then do what ever the hell ya want.

Gravatar Some marvelous suggestions, thus far, thank you.

"art, art, art" may be the call to arms!
