Have there ever, EVER been sweeter words than how you began this post: "I made a lemon curd based berry trifle the other day."
Beautiful day, beautiful macarons.

Thanks Cakespy
Nicola, i tried to find an online recipe for that dessert, but couldn't (i believe i found it in the November issue of Bon Appetit, and the name was Lemon-Berry Triflettes). i remember that i mixed equal amounts of lemon curd and whipped cream to layer between raspberries and ladyfingers. It was refreshing, but the whole dessert was not very visually appealing; hence no post.

hi zinnur,
your macarons look terrific! i have since perfected the basic macaron recipe. it doesn't require all the resting nor the finicky reductions in oven temperature anymore. i have found the recipe to be foolproof, quick and consistent too. i just use tartelette's pistachio macaron recipe. all you do is make sure the total amount of nuts equals 125 grams. my black sesame macarons are particularly delicious. i'll be adding a special link to all my macaron trials.

Cakebrain, thanks for your comment. i've been wanting to try Tartelette's recipe for a while now. But after reading about your black sesame macarons, i feel that i must do it now. i'll drop you a comment about the result.
