Oh yeah, The Gold Rush has always been one of my favorites.
But personally I think Modern Times and The Great Dictator (in which Chaplin plays Hitler) will be even more up your alley.

I'm a huge fan of Modern Times (and its little brother, City Lights), but I've never seen The Great Dictator. Now I know what to rent!

Sean, if you'll recall, I introduced you to Preacher. You know I love the series, but I must say you wound me whenever you talk about how it made you cry. I went to see that new Star Wars flick a few weeks ago, and one of the people I saw it with admitted that it made him cry. Since this is the guy in the group that gets constantly made fun of for being a wussy punk kid, I wasn't quite that surprised, but I still wanted to kill him. Preacher and Star Wars are two different animals, of course, but I still have to say I think you might be taking it just a TAD too seriously. It's a great comic, but it's not the Second Coming, it shouldn't reduce you to a blubbery four-year-old on multiple occaisions. You'd best Man Up, Sean, or I fear you won't prove much of a challenge when the time to kill you finally comes.

Sean, if you don't hurry up and do that bourbon-and-Preacher-series thing soon, I'm going to, then go backdate a blog entry and claim it was my idea all along.
(Yes, I know, late to the party. Sue me. Fine blog, tho...on my list of must-hits now.)
