I was just wondering yesterday how different the two must be. I've never been in NYC, and it's got this mythic rep in my imagination. If nothing else, the size of it is a marvel. San Francisco's a cozy little 7 mile square, so "real" big cities always seem HUGE to me.

I'm in San Fran now. I usually like west coast cities for vacations only. RObin asked me what I think about San Fran:

"It's the closest I've seen a West Coast city get to an East Coast city". It reminds me a bit of NY, Brooklyn especially. I like it here, I could live here.
