And that's what's scary. I've had more than one friend who got a restraining order...butn I have no friends that were actually helped by said restraining order. When I was younger and in an abusive situation myself, I didn't even bother with a restraining order...I knew it wouldn't do any good.
Restraining orders are for women who are complete idiots. Why? Because, if you are with someone who is violent, you are going to make them very angry when they get all their constitutional rights violated and usually all rights to their children taken away.
Buy a gun and hide. Help the prosecutor take action by gathering evidence of abuse. Clearly and order from a judge saying don't commit a crime is clearly idiotic.
rosanne was my mother, and by no means at all was she an idiot. she was a nicu rn, home health pediatric chemo providing rn, and also a nicu life flight rn. so let's not generalize here. she did not have any children, with this man she briefly dated. I, am not arguing firearms in homes, I am just rebuting your argument. before you know all the police reports that had been filed, all the documentation that had been prepared for the prosecutors, please dont comment.
