How many times have you asked me for something and you didn't get it? And to refresh your thoughts on this.... Both your grandmothers, a great uncle, a great aunt, an aunt, a great grandmother-well, thats all I can think of right now, and a great uncle and an uncle that beat it. See, Trev, I have lived with the spector of it hanging over me all my life. Like Tiff, don't even look in that direction. And yes, you can be a jerk, but we all love you anyway. That is what counts. The people that can't love anyway are worse than jerks.

Dad, you were the jerk first. You were the one who told me to get off my soapbox when all I am trying to do is raise money for cancer research. Yes, I do spend money on Star Wars, but you have a hobby too. What's with the bitterness?
Oh and Tiff, I am auctioning off some vintage stuff along with some newer stuff. I am even auctioning of a few this I would rather keep. I am not looking for a pat on the back. I do care.
I think you misinterpreted what I typed. (as far as your auction is concerned) In the future Trevor, when you want friends and family to support you in your endeavors don't make them feel as if you are attacking them to get their buck. You may not have intended for it to be that way, but that was the impression everyone got. I would say reader error, but most had the same perception. Yes, I will donate before your event. Right now is not a good time. Our budget for our trip to Oklahoma was overshot about 100.00 bucks. I also have made a payment on my van, my car, and my mortagage in the last 7 days. It will have to be on MY time.
Tiff I never got any bad vibes from you. I do not know why anyone would get the wrong impression. It's ME! Actually, most people did not take it the wrong way. And everyone should know, that if you do not donate, I am not going to be hurt in any way. I am not an emotional yuppie. Nobody should feel obligated to do anything, because you all have at least $5.......just kidding. You tithe to God out of obediance. You give to others out of your heart. I do not want any gift that is an obligation!!! I do not want any gift that is given with regret. Nobody is in debt to me. Only give with cheer.
Well Trev, look what Loonpop said in the next post. Like Tiff said, everyone seems to get the same impression. You can call me a jerk if you want, but if you are saying I have never supported you..... Now I am not too proud to admit I make mistakes. Are You? All of us think this is a good thing, even Michael-probably. Your approach was a little rough. And if you hammer a little, expect to get some back. I'm sure all of us will support you in this. Some more than others-we will all do what we can do. And it doesn't matter if you handle the money or not. Now if this is being bitter-so be it. To me the ball is in your court.

We all got the humor in it all. Even humor can be inappropriate at times. I know what Loonpop said, I know what you said, even laughed some myself. See, we know you. More than you want us to sometimes. You know us, etc. We love you and will support you. You had just better soften up a bit, if nothing else for Amanda's sake. And remember about the third and fourth generations.

Yea well, we talked about it. He explained himself and I explained myself. He agreed that he is right and I am wrong. We love one another and will talk in the future because he is son and I am dad and we are the best of friends besides that all. I had a little left over from guns, cigars, and grandkids(who all did you think he was talking about?) to donate some. So things are pretty cool.
