My brother once came home with a curly perm in his hair (he was about 13 or so). Everyone kinda grinned at it, not knowing what to say, when suddenly I busted out at the top of my lungs:

It brought down the house. And he couldn't get rid of that perm fast enough.

Lost is not losing steam if you're a true fan! It's gaining steam now! These next three weeks are going to ROCK!!!!

Um, Lost better get better over the next 4 weeks. Because it has sucked my butt lately. The network has been milking you. They get you hooked, then milk you with crap for awhile before they try to make it interesting again to keep you watching.
Admitedly, they had a lot of reruns for awhile. That's so they could film future seasons that involve Walt. They didn't want him "growing up" on the island when all this is taking place over the course of months, and not years. But this last 4 weeks or so they've had new episodes, and now we'll have 4 more new ones. If you didn't watch the episode called "Lockdown" a couple weeks back, you need to. It's possibly the best episode ever!
It was an interesting episode. What matters now, what will they do with it? They do have material that they can go with and be good. The reruns were not the issue. The new episodes have been really slow. They could have put the good material for season 2 in half the episodes. The premise of Lost is a very interesting one. But, I question how long term they were thinking when they came up with the original premise. Mike, I totally enjoyed season 1. I was into it. I want Lost to be good. It is not a jealous thing because more people watch Lost than Battlestar Galactica. I want them to get their act together. I think more fans should be demanding that they get their act together. I will do a more in depth post on some of this soon.
I agree with you that for a while, in the middle parts of this season, it drug on. But ever since Lockdown, things are really picking up steam. I'm very interested to see what happens in the next 4 weeks.
But here's a question, just in general. Why do we argue like this about things that are solely a matter of opinion?
BECAUSE IT'S FUN!!
I think it's because of our innate need for our opinions to be validated by others.
I am picky about my TV. If I am going to spend my precious time watching TV, it better be good. No network is going to lead me on.
Ah, it's nice to see some things don't change....Trevor's still bull headed....
