If you can't spit, swallow.

Gravatar Thank you missus, to you and Quarsan form your wonderful support.

Let's hope this is all ends soon and she stops stalking me and the other victims and gets the help she clearly needs.

Gravatar good grief. the woman sounds like something out of a horror movie.

what did quarsan do to upset her?

Gravatar I have to agree with Edvard, having read what Rachel had to say some weeks back.

Gravatar quarsan agreed with something that rachel said on her blog and that was enough to set up a hate campaign against Q. we just want to get FJL to the help that she so obviously needs.

Gravatar I'm with you on the psychiatric help: FJL is clearly in need of it and I do feel some sympathy for her mental condition.

I don't however have any sympathy for her despicable behaviour towards Rachel and others. Psychosis or not, her vendettas need to stop. Full stop.

Gravatar The story is also in todays Telegraph

I saw the link on here yesterday and had a wander around the blogs last night, trying to make head and tails of it all. How mad!? But then I guess that last comment would make me one of the "co-saboteurs" and "mob members", as after all, no-one can seem to say anything in defence of Rachel without being a co-conspirator.

Maybe the Telegraph should have posted FJL's known picture??

Gravatar It's quite dreadful, that stalking...I have an aunt who's stalked by another family member, right here, in Guyana. The other family member can be quite vicious with words.

Gravatar Wow........She is a one-woman freak show, that is for sure. As far as the psychiatric help, she is in desperate need of it, without a doubt.

I think that publicity is the type of thing that will eventually flush her out. Until then, I hope the best for Rachel, and that this is the beginning of the end of the long road of terror she has put up with.

Gravatar I'm sorry to hear Q has also been on the receiving end of this; as well as feeling sorry for Rachel and all the others. I also saw the button last night and had a nose around. Scary! I hope she is picked up soon. I know it's not much consolation, but at least she's in another country and very unlikely to turn up on your doorstep!

I look forward to when you can get back to tales of Todd's designer wardrobe. I do hope he doesn't move on to Prada stuff, I've just looked through the catalog (warning: it is 12+MB in PDF) and it really is more camp than a hairdressers convention!

Gravatar Yikes. That is truly horrible. Sign me up as a co-conspirator then.

*toddles off to put a button on his blog, miniscule readership notwithstanding

Gravatar it is a really horrible situation, as many of you have pointed out. The worst thing is that I don't believe that the woman needs to be banged up, per se, but needs urgent psychiatric treatment.

So far, nothing has stopped her from insulting Rachel. The last I saw was that FJL was claiming that the "false" allegations made against her were over an email exchange. Yes. Well, we know better.

sim: there may well be more in the media tomorrow - very probable.
gg: that must a very frightening experience - is it still on-going ?
suspect: that's what we all hope and any help is as good as any, no matter where you live.
lynx: but i'm not far away .... hopefully FJL will be picked up soon.
r'pus: you're a good man, you are.

Gravatar Terrible woman, definitely needs help. I mean who would stalk Q?

Seriously though, I have left a message of support on Rachels blog.

Gravatar Yes, it still happens. First, it was in one Caribbean island, where both women lived. Then back to Guyana.

She circulates vicious emails about my aunt too. I don't think we even have laws to control this.

Gravatar Bloody Euros. Rachel is a survivor of 7/7, which she has turned into a platform to appease terrorists, slam her betters who would attempt to stop them, and whine about the Jews vis-a-vis suicide bombers.

It's a high-profile position to take, and is gonna attract nuts. Big fucking surprise.

But of all the "free speech" bastions on Earth, only in the EU is it possible to have a whole touchy-feely community of appeasement-supporters banging the drum for homicidal scumbags, trying to find new ways to make the way straighter for them and simultaneously baying for jail time for some goofy twat because they don't like what she SAYS.

Good Christ, she's fucking nuts, although it's a fair observation that RACHEL is no brain-surgeon either. No wonder she won't stop.

Take all your self-righteous "we only want her to get help" torches and dogs, and spend your energy putting a tabloid writer (who writes what passes for "news" in those parts) in the Gulag. At least then, you'd be doing something useful to cut down on libel and slander.

- AD -

Gravatar Apologies AD, but I didn't understand much of that, and the parts I did didn't have and clear connection to the issue.

Rachel is campaigning for a public inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the bombing. I'm sorry to see that you are interpreting this as appeasement for terrorists and to 'slam her betters'. Perhaps you would want to live in a nation where the 'betters' are not questioned or held accountable. We would not.

You are clearly unaware of the details but Rachel, and many others, has been the target of a sustained and vicious campaign which went well beyond comments and emails. It was not her 'opinion' that got her into this but spreading lies, libel and hideous abuse.

The stalker actually complained to the police about Rachel, but it was evident that Rachel was the victim and after an investigation, charges were made and it went to trial.

Lowde was found guilty and absconded. Surely is is good citizenship to help the police arrest convicted criminals.

Again, you may prefer to live in a world where people's right not to be hounded, abused or lied about is taken away. We would rather keep it.

Bloody Euros!

Gravatar a. I NEVER get the chance to use the word "bloody" unless I'm dealing with a Euro, 'cause it makes me sound like a poofter around these parts, which is another word I hardly ever get to use, so I was just taking advantage; and,

b. The ability to put someone in jail because you don't like what they say or that they're saying it about you, even if they're REAL meanies is antithetical to free speech, and I don't care HOW you cut it up. I mean, if that's so, Tony Blair could wrap your knickers (another word) around the axle based on your oft' expressed and vitriolic rants about him. Never happen, of course, 'cause everybody likes you and not him. But that's the point: It's not a freaking popularity contest. The popular, well-liked stuff isn't what's protected by free speech concepts. There's no need, ya see. It's the agitating, annoying, UNPOPULAR stuff that's protected, at least here outside the EuroHive.

c. I've read some of Rachel's stuff, and I stand by all that bit. The fact is that she, by sheer luck of the draw, happened to be one of about 10 million possible people who could have been in her seat that day on the train. That makes her no more stuffed with Wisdom and Deep Thoughts than any of the 9.99999 million who WEREN'T sitting there. Tragedy does not confer sainthood, nor, usually, any particularly useful insights, although it's sometimes a fine paycheck on the sob-sister and tabloid circuits. If she'd been horribly crippled up somehow on the motorway to the station, no one would have ever heard her name -- she'd be just as bunged up, but some other "lucky" sod would be writing her blog and getting pissy because everyone won't whine along with him.

d. Other than that, I'm with you 100%.

Gravatar lordy

- am very glad I've not had to deal with people like AD & FJL, whether they be 'just' rude and unpleasant or truly mentally ill.

Those of you brave enough to put yourself out there in good faith don't deserve that sort of foul rubbish.

Guess one consolation is that when looking at the comments, the sane and supportive remain the majority!
yay us!

ps. I quite like Euros - such pretty colours on the notes, ahhhh, watch the pretty colours....

Gravatar Janetyjanet Sez: am very glad I've not had to deal with people like AD & FJL, whether they be 'just' rude and unpleasant or truly mentally ill.

And there's the trick. When someone disagrees with you, they're "rude," "unpleasant," or "mentally ill."

And therefore you get to lock them up. Around my neck of the woods, YOU are the one in the minority -- and there's a fair whack of us that, if we had our way, would pen you in Guantanamo over it, too. Much as you'd do me and that nutjob FJL.

Fortunately, we have better sense than Euros and don't pass goofy laws like that.

What a ridiculous ideology.

- AD -

Gravatar AD, I know you do this to wind people up, but what exactly, is your point ? It's obvious that you know absolutely nothing about what FJL has done - so what is your point ?

Gravatar Nope - Janetyjanet says: if people disagree with me, they disagree, no problem, it would be very boring if we were all the same... & it's a free world (in our woods anyway)

When they fail to debate cogently then I'll engage with them to try and understand their point of view and help them communicate more effectively

But if they're repeatedly unclear, illogical AND rude to boot, I won't lock them up (that is for those who have broken our laws, like FJL), I will henceforward just ignore them which is as it should be.

Goodbye AD

Gravatar FJL does indeed sound like she needs treatment badly.

Asbestos Dust, on the other hand, needs to stand for election. If his viewpoint is acceptable to people then they will elect him. In the meantime, commenting on blogs is not the most productive way to achieve change, if change is what one wants.

So why do I comment myself? Vanity. I like the look of my own words.

P.S. Q and Z, you both looked great today. Wish I could have joined you.

Gravatar And Marianne, you were the Lady in Red We miss you.

Gravatar zoe Sez: AD, I know you do this to wind people up, but what exactly, is your point ?

That freedom of speech trumps hurt li'l feelers, even really, REALLY hurt li'l feelers. If she's physically dangerous, then by all means hunt her down like an animal and lock her dumb ass up. If she's just a nutjob with a keyboard (and who among aren't THAT?) then tough tittie. She gets to be. File civil suit and take everything she owns or ever will, if it's THAT big a deal. Ya' can't get the Government on your side, though -- The government regulating speech for WHATEVER reason is censorship, however you cut it.

Thought that was fairly clear(?)

Aunty Sez: Asbestos Dust, on the other hand, needs to stand for election.

Yeah, just so. I'm constantly recruited, but the electoral commissions worry that me receiving as huge a percentage of the vote as is likely would be enormously disruptive, so they pay me to stay clear. So, my only choice is to stroke my own

"Vanity. I like the look of my own words."

Heh, heh, heh.....

"That freedom of speech trumps hurt li'l feelers, even really, REALLY hurt li'l feelers."

Based in what I have read about the situation so far, this goes way beyond hurt feelings. It dips into the realm of libel, slander, and stalking. This has no place, and sorry, but free speech is not covered by this. The old adage "You can't yell "Fire!" in a crowded theater when it is not true." would seem to apply here.......

Gravatar suspect Sez: The old adage "You can't yell "Fire!" in a crowded theater when it is not true." would seem to apply here.......

Nope. Yelling "fire" is physically dangerous. That's why it's not covered. One of the purposes for the existence of the State is to provide retaliatory force in the physical protection of / retaliation for physical injury on its citizens.

Libel and slander are civil torts (person v. person), not crimes (State v. person). Or shouldn't be, at any rate.

As I said before, if there's physical harm afoot, likely, or occurring, then the police power of the State is appropriate. If not, then the State has no dog in this fight and should therefore piss off till something in their bailiwick appears.

Gravatar They catch peadophiles by getting the ISP to look up their IP number and relate it to a physical address, that's just the beginning.

So why is Rachel being stalked for over a year? I smell a rat.

Gravatar JJ - why don't you follow the link and find out ? i should update this with another excellent post about the possibilities as to why Rachel, Dan, Philip, Quarsan and many others were picked upon.

Gravatar http://www.oxfordmail.net/news/ h...lker_caught.php

hooray!

Gravatar I know - thanks for the link. the wording has been changed since yesterday, though ...

Gravatar Thanks Zoe and Q for all your utterly wonderful support over the last year. I am so glad she has been nabbed and is now in prison awaiting sentencing an dmuch-needed psychiatric reports, which might explain why she decided to randomly harass me for a year, not to mention why she harassed all her other victims, despite being jailed for harassment previously.
