Hi Zeon, I'm a longtime reader, first time commenter. I didn't realize that Lillix had covered "What I Like About You," but I did know them from their singles "It's About Time" and "Tomorrow." I like both of them, but admittedly they are girly songs and not really timeless. I also remember that they did commercials for Acuvue contact lenses and print ads for hair care products. They're pretty girls - it's a shame their band broke up.

I am a huge fan of the first album and picked up a Canadian import of the second album on Amazon. Inside the Hollow has got to be one of the best workout albums ever. Lots of energy and as many monster hooks as the best Cheap Trick and Material Issue albums. Huge shame the label dropped it, there are a good five to six #1 singles on it. Here's hoping the members find new projects. Nobody thought Dave Grohl would be in the limelight ever again after Scream imploded.

Thanks for your comments. Maybe I should give their album a go. I've been on a punk-pop kick lately.

I like a number of their songs - especially the upbeat, high-energy ones like Sweet Temptation and Every Girl. I don't know why they weren't more popular. Maybe hits are hit-and-miss, but in this case, there are several near-misses and should-have-been-hits.
They are now back in business with Britt Black adding energy on lead guitar as well as vocals - this should give them a boost if she stays around, which may be a good bet since she too is based in B.C. It's probably worth checking back on their web site at www.lillixonline.com as well as their various MySpaces (five in total).
