Hasn't debbie already had two stabs at a solo career? i know koo koo came out in the early 80's to general indifference and then there was the slightly better, but excessively vacuous late 80's "i want that man" kind of stuff, not to mention occasional appearances with other rock stars whilst blondie were on hold. This song doesn't fill me with confidence, although i'll give it a few listens to see if it grows.

Thanks for the info, guess I should have done more research. After all, she was around kicking it when I hadn't even been born yet.
The song's not all that, but for me it's pleasant enough. It's more like something to whet our appetite, I think.

Actually, Debbie's had four solo albums.
"Koo Koo" in 1981 produced by Nile Rogers of Chic fame, then later produced Madonna's "Like a Virgin."
She then did "Rockbird" in 1986, "Def Dumb and Blonde" in 1989, and "Debravation" in 1993.
"Koo Koo" is the best and well worth a listen, the rest have some really good songs and some not so great songs, but she's definitely been keeping busy since Blondie stopped recording after 1983's "The Hunter" (another great album).
She's also been with the Jazz Passengers for quite a while, did a song with Iggy Pop on the Cole Porter tribute album "Red, Hot and Blue", and sang two tracks on The Heads album "No Talking, Just Head."
