Extending HaloScan

If you have a good knowledge of HTML, and are familiar with Javascript, and generally feel confident that you can edit your site template and page, then the following topics will allow you to extend HaloScan in a variety of manners.

• Displaying when comments are new
• Making form fields mandatory
• Handling HaloScan downtime gracefully
• Showing remaining character count in comment window
