Removing HaloScan from your site
The removal of HaloScan depends on how you installed it, as such the instructions below are generic and may differ slightly from your installation.
To remove HaloScan from your site:
- Locate and edit your site template or homepage.
- In between the <HEAD> and </HEAD> tags, locate the HaloScan code and delete it.
- In the main body of your template, locate the second piece of HaloScan code. It's usually placed after where your posts appear. Delete that code too.
- That's it.
Alternatively, if you previously stored a backup of your template before installing HaloScan, then simply replace your current template with the backup.
If you want your HaloScan account closed, please contact the site administrator.
