Ok,I agree. But the reasons behind the poor performance bear mentioning. This is Hart's first year. He is here because Oliver wasn't getting the job done. A turnaround this fast may be a bit over-demanding. Not sure he has the bodies either. We can identify part of the problem in past recruiting as well. Recruiting has been heavy with linebackers at the expense of lineman as the scheme use to be a...

And really, why the hell is Tulsa's mascot the golden hurricane(s)? Has a hurricane ever sent a strong wind to Tulsa, much less hit Tulsa. As a New Orlenian, I take exception to their mascot. Maybe they felt that golden showers was inappropriate.

When you put it that way, I guess TCU and Tulsa are pretty respectable opponents. Honestly, what ND fan thinks we would have beaten Utah last year? Maybe, I don't know. But you know us Irish fans, we have to have our big name, old school powerhouse opponents on the schedule too. So give us our Miamis, our Bamas (I'm aware we've only played Bama 6 or so times), our Oklahomas.

If that is the schedule, so be it. I believe it is interesting, and I would not underrate teams like TCU and Tulsa.

TCU has a more realistic shot at a Championship than ND and even if TCU is undefeated this year, they still don't get consideration for the title game.

Hey, what do you want from me, it's on the internet, it must be true!

Ha - touche Tulsa, you were indeed 11-3 last year after a 10-2 "regular" season followed by a loss to ECU in the Conference USA title game, then a bowl win over Ball State.

Section29 apologizes for the error.

Sadly, I think the reality is that you can't play 8 of the Top Ten teams and have an even chance of winning the Mythical National Championship. One might show that they are the best team, but the system is such that one loss at a crucial time is too much to overcome. Ara knew this, and the schedule changed when he came on board.

IMO, I'd rather see us playing the toughest competetion we can fi...
