Voters are inclined to consider challengers and have an independent streak, but history is full of last minute events that altered outcomes.
Before Jesse Ventura won the Governor’s race as an Independent, the previous Governor was elected twice although his Republican Party did not endorse him.

From what you heard from others about Minnesota?

With all due respect, it would be nice if outside interests would stop anointing Elwyn Tinklenberg before allowing those of us LIVING in the district to choose for our damned selves. Olson has been tireless in his opposition to Bachmann while Tinklenberg has sat idly by waiting for the 6th District crown to get bestowed upon him.

I found Tinklenberg's website and from what I heard from other Minnesotans I thought he'd be a strong candidate against Bachmann. http://0062b7c.netsolhost.com

I do try to keep as up to date on all the races as I can though it is hard with my limited time.

Minnesotans haven't even had our precinct caucuses yet, let alone the county and state senate district conventions that pick delegates to the congressional district endorsing conventions.

Bob Olson and Elwyn Tinklenberg are vying for that endorsement.

What is your source for naming Tinklenberg as the contender? You might wish to read what bloggers in that district are saying about the cont...

I looked at the PVI and at Rogers' margin in 2006, which was about half of his margin in 2004. I have no idea how the D candidates were in both years, but I am keeping an eye on this race to see if it could be competitive.

Hey, long time no see!

I am extremely reluctantly going with Hillary now. I am afraid Edwards is too far left to win and Obama is too inexperienced.
