I am just happy that Corzine is outta here.. Not really happy about anyone who was running in NJ.. But I am hoping that Christie will do something about the mess in NJ. I don;t think anything will change.. BUT I am hopeful..

Thanks for pointing out my incorrect use of the phrase. I lately have little time for proof-reading, but thanks to you I found another mistake.

Del,

Thanks for the heads-up, but I've dealt with this shop for about 8 years now, and have never had that concern for at least 7 years. Like I said, it was a brake line, and not the whole caliper assembly, which they could have sold me.

I am not trying to be mean, but do you fully know and trust your mechanic. I work on cars for a hobby and sometimes side money, so I know how easy it could be to try and dupe people into getting and paying for more than what was needed or even done. I have come across people who have been yanked around by shops, but whatever it happens. Its messed up, but when you have overhead and all the bills...

@Andrew There you go! Nice to know the gremlin didn't just favor me!

@Sue: yeah, but the Blazer will need an exhaust system and tires for next summer's inspection. At least I can plan for that.

Couldnt agree more. I have three cars at my house and during the course of two weeks, all three cars needed new car batteries.

Perhaps a gremlin was sapping the charge, but it was trouble all the same.
