The Riviera uses mini-humbucker pickups, while the Casino uses single coil P-90 pickups. And its those pickups that help define the famous Beatle sound.
I knew I liked those guys for a reason. :) But seriously, Burn Notice is a heck of a lot of fun; I'm sad I've been unable to follow lately.

Expectations are amazing things. There are always gaps between what is expected and what should be expected. Some people aim a little too high. Some aim way too high.

Thanks, Kate.

It's so true about that kind of stuff. It's like when you own a truck. When your friends need to haul something, you're expected to jump in.

So true. Nice haircut!

Talking about expectations reminds me of a funny story about my aunt and uncle. My uncle is a CPA but he also went to hairstyling school. So sometimes he cuts my aunt's hair at home. Only the family knows he cuts hair, so when one time a neighbor dropped by unexpectedly, he was in the middle of giving my aunt a haircut--they quickly traded places.
I'm sad that the original Iron Chef is no longer on the Food Network. The American series has come a long way since its debut, but I still long for the Japanese show.

btw, I found your blog by doing a google search for "old civil war dude". Pretty cool.

Evel Knievel stunt bike. I loved that toy. I don't know if we're thinking of the same one. Mine was about 7" tall. (about the size of the oversized G.I. Joe figures). There was some way that the bike actually rode on its own. I beat the daylights out of that toy. I played with it when I was 5 or 6 in 1980/81.

Though my all-time fav had to be Optimus Prime from 1984. I wish it was something more
