Hi,

The program works great, and then after 1 or 2 hours the CPU fan will go off on on, and speed up and up till it reaches 3000 or i get so annoyed i restart,

heres a silly query, but would a program make my fan go faster? and override the smc fan program? when i use imovie, this is when i see it change and then the fan goes mad..... surely this is just by chance?

I have it installed and no other fan controlling software installed (that I know of) and changing the min. fan speed does nothing. The speed stays the same. I'm running the 15" aluminum.

Hi. Thanks for this app. It really helped cool my overworked MB Pro. I would like to suggest a temp controlled option so that the fan only runs at a certain speed when the temp reaches a user set figure. It might be good to have a hotkey set to manually pump up or down the fan as well and a togle (in the menu bar or on the dock) to switch between manual mode and automatic (according to user pr...

I have an iMac 3.06 ghz computer and with this app I can get the fans to kick into high gear but they will not slow down unless I set to default and reboot my system... it doesn't respond to what I tell them to do.... but the responded perfectly to my friends macbook...

When I copy my home folder to another machine, the settings from machine A are also used on machine B, so I got a list of not available fans in there and not a single one of the ones that are actually on that machine.

Switching to ByHost preferences (with the MAC address or whatever Apple uses now on certain machines added to the plist-filename) would be a good idea.

Oh, and a release of the...

the fan controller works well, when i put the min speed to be 6200, the fan speed increases. BUT, after a while the fan speed drops back to around 2900. any idea why?

Hello, I installed the program and am noticing there is no change to the CPU fan speed when I try to make changes. All other fans speed changes but not the cpu fan speed.
24" Imac 10.5.4 (early 09) version
I re-installed after a shutdown and issue did not fix. I also ran hardware test and all looks good.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

love the app, and have been using it without problems. I would love to be able to get geektool to interact with this so i can print the temp right on my desktop (for easier visibility & awesomeness!). is this possible? i've tried poking around in the package to see if I could figure it out myself, but really don't know anything about programming etc.
Any help much appreciated!

Hello Hendri,
This is an additional question to the previous.
My HDD all the time is kept around 60 degrees, and sometimes even higher! (iMac 24 alum).
But the speed of the fan is always kept at a minimum (1200rpm).
Temperature sensor does not increase the speed of the fan.
The maximum possible fan speed is 5500 !
Manufacturer's website shows that the temperature of 60 degrees is the upper...
