Bettman has completely screwed up this league and will eventually run it into the ground if he isn't fired.

Get rid of him already!

We all know why Bettman's mentioning expansion again... trying to get more franchise fee money.

I will agree that the play is watered down by so many teams at the moment, but I disagree that contracting teams is the answer. Eventually, with maybe 5-10 years or so, the play should be more competitive with the same number of teams. A lot of teams in the non-traditional markets are going out and...

The outdoor game is going to rule. I have to say that the one in Edmonton will always be the best, but I hope that this one in the US helps to expose hockey for all the right reasons to a market that is luke warm at best. The game is on NBC after all.

Expect more bubble players as the gap between the haves and have nots widens. Energy players and physicality is needed more than ever. The average age of the NHL player to hit UFA went down for a reason..the new NHL shortens careers.

The bigger question may just be will Toskala be able to handle the workload. He really never has gotten a chance to be the man...so it will be interesting to see if he tires out late in the season or not. The numbers are great analysis though and bring up some very valid points and one wouldn't expect.

That would depend on what you mean by 'best'.

If I wanted to draw in fans to my team, Crosby would be the best option. If I was looking to the future of my club, Crosby would be best.

But if I wanted to win the Cup in the year 2008, there are 3 guys I would choose before him.

I think Crosby is the most dynamic player in the game today. However, he still has room to improve on becoming the most complete. Not a whole lot of room, but room nonetheless.

I do not understand your rankings. You list Sidney Crosby as the 4th forward. What does that mean? I think it means you think he is a bit back of being the best player in the NHL today. Is that what you are saying?
