“According to economist Eric Fisher, eliminating the income tax will have three important benefits,” Rep. Adams stated. “First, it will stem Ohio’s relative population loss. Second, it will increase the long-run rate of economic growth in this state. Third, it will encourage our best and brightest citizens to work more, benefiting their own families and our state’s economy more widely.”

Matt, I think it would be a travesty if Dave Yost is not the candidate. It's obvious that the Party here loved him by giving him our endorsement. We need a law and order Attorney General, not a washed up hack who is soft on gun control and should be content to ride out his remaining time basking in the glory of past success. If the polling were done amongst us true blue R's Yost would win hands...

Matt, I agree 110% with your take on Don Dixon and the sale tax. Sometimes I wonder if I’m the only republican in Butler County who noticed that the Democratic Party of Betty McGray failed to field a candidate to oppose Don Dixon. Coincidence, I think not.

It appears that Kilburn is going to have competition trying to run to the right of Schmidt. A guy named Hawkins announced his intention to run as a republican in the 2010 primary. His claim to fame is being the lowest vote getter on Milford City council. He has served all of two years and if elected he plans to move his family to DC with him. So much for serving the district. This will split the "

Dewine just has no real personal appeal, but I'm not "against" him, either. I'll study the AG race more closely. Maybe he'll win on name rec. but is there any there, there?

In other news: Palin's book.

I am NOT FOR her. She is so disloyal, savaging McCain's campaign. In many ways, she was the erratic figure that dismayed the suburbs. Had an accomplished person been on the ticket, we might
