I agree wholeheartedly. I just wish there was a station in town that played NPR content all day rather than just until noon and not again until 4. Even during pledge week NPR is always such a great respite from our commercial laden radio-scape.

I've always been a fan of sports talk radio but the only one I can pick up well with my car radio is the Fox Sports affiliate. Dan Patrick's show in

Boy, I thought I had it bad with 1)having to pump in a 63 degree computer server room the first time around and 2) having the only private room in my workplace being perpetually occupied by clandestine "meetings". It's so hard to work and pump-but definitely so worth it, especially during cold and flu season. Hang in there, your little one is lucky you are so dedicated!

Somehow these stories beat even the workplace horror of the accidental peep-show. You deserve a Modern Mom Medal, Mikaela. ALL working moms deserve a medal. Why don't we start giving them out?

Ahhh, horrified for you, Mikaela!! How tough to take care of business in a modern workplace - really makes one consider the very different needs of men v. women, doesn't it? Rock on with your "modesty cape"!

I was for all of them. Three stood out. The salary commission will hopefully lead to salaries on the Council comparable to those on the County Commission, and make it possible to have more diversity on the Council.

Two of them made the Clerk and the Attorney more autonomous from the executive branch.

Marjorie, I was really hoping you'd do a voters guide on the City Charter amendments. What's the story on those??? I sensed a power grab, but couldn't really tell whose!
