Those look amazing, entirely amazing. And it's awfully cruel that I'm looking at them on a morning I skipped breakfast and am waiting for eternity for lunch. I have visions of sticky buns dancing in my head. I think I need to try these.

I made these once, left them to rise overnight, and found that they had risen enough to displace lots of syrup, which ran over the counter, onto the floor, and all over the back of the dog licking things up. Very happy, sticky dog.

Pecans. Pecans! Also, instead of a muffin tin you can sit the cut circles along side each other in a cake tin after painting the bottom with your "syrup". That avoids the over flow. It's fun to pull apart the pieces to eat too. Oh and do the same thing, but paint the dough with left over pasta or pizza sauce and sprinkle with cheese before rolling up.

Holy crap. I can't believe how enticing these are. I have noticed them in the book. I've even thought about them. But I've never been so totally turned onto the idea of them, of making them, until this moment.

Now, to have enough people around at once to justify them!!

I've had that with nuts in bread, too, where as the dough is kneaded, the nuts just fall right out of it.

I just made a batch of bread yesterday, my standard recipe. Plus a little rolled oats. And some whole wheat (graham) flour. Mmmm, fresh bread and butter!
