I also lost weight while nursing (and hope to continue with that trend) BUT - and it's a biggie - it does taper off. And then when you stop nursing, you are so used to consuming enough food for a small nation daily that it's easy to gain it all back and more. Ask me how I know! On second thought, don't.

Glad the bug is feeling better! Hope the thrush and pinkeye goes away soon.

The thrush seems to be dying, and the spousal unit has acquired antibiotic drops for the pinkeye. Sigh. Large sigh.

When I was nursing, I was also minus 5 lbs. I started drinking coconut milk (lots of fat!) and eating avocados daily. Its hard to keep weight on when nursing growing babies!

I'm hoping the next post will be a gloriously happy one that the little bug is all better.

Hang in there. The J-man had the Norovirus and was hospitalized for it when he was 16 months old, and then Tim and I both got it, and couldn't be at the hospital with him, so the grandparents all took shifts. Sucked.

I was in the hospital for a week with pneumonia when I was seven (and had had four times before the last hospitalization). It wasn't fun, but I remember no pain because the drugs were strong.

I'm so sorry your little Bug has pneumonia. That's scary. You and your partner are undoubtedly doing a fantastic job, and I wish you thoughtful and competent doctors.
