Sorry Scott and y'all. I've been looking at blogspot (much more impressive than I expected) and iWeb and have been swamped with preparation for HURT and other responsibilities. Plus, since RW takes so blasted long to load and update I get demotivated every time I think about adding content. I should have something Monday or Tuesday.

Hey, we already have a Wii - maybe I can get the kids hooked on running if it involves TV. I think I'd even try it if it was a really windy day - I hate running in blustery weather.

Thanks for the plug, Mark! Just me and my bete noire Harry, right? With friends like you . . . . What about Middle Earth? Narnia? Bladerunner? (Actually I just learned of Bladerunner from NPR's take on the release of the producer's cut on DVD.)

Ah well, you did remind me of another subject I'll have to take on one of these days, Rock and Roll music. But first there's quantum mechanics and Zen p...

Dreher timely reminds us of Joseph Smith's first great revelation. And he makes some rational arguments for disregarding a candidate's religion if he delivers on the issues. But I think the claim by others that the Constitution's prohibition of a religious test for public office is a reason for a citizen not to apply a religious test if he so chooses for reasons of his

I'm going to look at the new iWeb and some other options. RapidWeaver takes about ten minutes to "save" and slows down all my other programs so I have to keep it turned off most the time. If I want to turn it on and blog it takes up to ten minutes to start up.

An accurate (but irreverent) picture of LDS beliefs is posted at the Methodist web site, Locusts and Honey, here .

My son and I both laughed hard. Then he told my wife that I "let him watch South Park."

Alas, and I am the guilty one who recommended RapidWeaver in the 1st place. I'm still in iBlog realm, but the need to be at one particular computer to update the blog is beginning to be annoying.

On the other hand, Huckabee has come out foursquare against torture. This is a definite plus for me. After all, in "Deathly Hallows" my bete noire Harry Potter used the Crucio torture curse on a dark wizard for spitting in the face of a good witch. Anyway, on this issue Huckabee is on the side of the angels along with John McKane and against the unclarity of those like Romney who say we shouldn't
