I am a descendant of Sedgewick and Mary Hopkins through their daughter Etta Ruth. I really enjoyed seeing the pictures, which I had never seen before. I'd love to get to know more. Please delete my e-mail after you get this, as I don't want skimmers spamming me. Thanks!

Thanks!! Planning meals for the week is one of my New Year's resolutions. It's absolutely necessary, but it seemed so daunting. This is a big help, so thank you for describing how you made yours. I really appreciate it!

Thank you so much for the beautiful comments. Its a joy to design for someone who appreciates our work as much as you. There's another kit coming up in the Heritage Chest series which numbers 4 now.

I'm so sorry about the weight gain. Believe me, I know EXACTLY how you feel. Your soup sounds yummy. I've been on a meat pie kick myself (listening to the Little House series and it makes me want meat pies and pancakes, lol). We've been using the cane syrup on whole wheat pancakes and I really like it by the way.
