This comment should be a new topic, but I couldn't figure out how to start a new one. Anyway, there's a typo in the book for FA formula (the one for extraction). Page 151 says Ao instead of Vo. I couldn't figure out why I was getting crazy answers like 200% remaining in original solution until I saw that. Perhaps it's too late since the midterm is tomorrow, but there it is.

I agree with that. I completed about 50% of the problems, and I think I have done some of them incorrectly, but I don't know. I was planning on asking my TA tomorrow but we only have so much time with them. I can probably ask him about a few.

Can Chem 232 students use this blog too? I didn't know.

Dr. Landrie,
I am also in you Organic Chemistry 232 class, and I wanted to ask if you could post the answers to the synthesis questions. How are we supposed to know if we are doing them correctly. What if we do them incorrectly and study the worng material.
I think it would be beneficial if you did that because then we can know if we are fully understanding the material or not.

I agree. This is a good suggestion. I will consider this for future exams.

I couldn't figure out how to start a new blog comment, so I am just commenting on this one even though they are not related.
Professor Landrie,
I think that maybe the TAs or yourself should check that we have a pre lab for the practical before we enter the classroom. The person next to me came in practical today without even reading anything and then copied my procedure, without me knowing, wh...
