I've been frustrated by a lot of the various criteria around for defining players that are prospects, and the subsequent rankings and such that go with them. I decided I'd take a longer term look at the term, and come up with a few criteria that examines players, even if they are in the NHL, that are still growing and can't be judged the same as veterans. Plekanec to the Rangers for Del Zotto it is! Still, finding a willing trade partner at this time of year cant be easy but I suppose that doesnt mean it is impossible.
