Funny you wrote this: I am watching my son grow and grow and stronger and stronger, an yea he's 14 now taller and is a lean mean fighting machine. I had to tell him to not tackle me so hard.

Anyway I decided I could drop a few chilly cheese burgers and find a few fighting weight pounds. I am lifting again and trying to do some cardio.

I wish I was 14 again.

I feel like I have a new lease on life, and there's no need to really elaborate, you know what I mean...

PTSD is an animal, BUT I have finally crossed over to the 'other' side. That's not to say that there will always some bumps in the road as it relates to that.

My life has just begun, and I'm now in control.

May your stuffing be tasty,
may your turkey be plump.

May your taters and gravy
have nary a lump.

May your yams be delicious,
and your pies take the prize,

And may your Thanksgiving dinner
stay off of your thighs!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

@Eric: You probably do enjoy more homogeneity than more urban climes, and that could certainly lead to less conflict.

@Bob: That would truly be an interesting paper to read. I'd like to get a look at the slope of that curve at a few points!

@Kris: Wow. Yeah; I share your frustration, but probably in a different way. I've not sat in on the cases that you have, but it irritates the hell...

Agreed, I live in a rural area but not far from one of the states larger cities...

No crime here to speak of and only just a few minutes away from where the drug dealers, pimps, gangs, and various other low life trash are.
